§ 28-81. Schedule of fees; delinquency; penalty.

Service charges and fees for garbage and refuse collection shall be set and collected by the town. Such charges and fees are payable to the town annually in advance for all occupied or inhabited residences, apartments or places of business in the town. The owners of the property being served shall be presumed to be residents or users of the property and therefore responsible for compliance with this article and payment of all fees and charges. Nonpayment of service charges and fees is declared a violation of this article. There is hereby imposed a penalty of ten percent for each fee or charge which remains unpaid for a period of 30 days after the charge or fee is due and payable and without further notice such penalty may be added to the next billing. The penalties and remedies contained herein shall be in addition to any and all other penalties and remedies contained in this Code of Ordinances for violation thereof.
