§ 6-5. Procedure for building permits.

  • The ordinances and checklist shall be carefully followed. If a survey is not attached, the builder/owner shall certify the plans on the plot plan as correct. In all stormwater submissions, a survey shall be provided showing elevations. If the application concerns a lakefront or canal lot, the elevations shall be verified from a properly certified survey. When the foundation survey is provided, it shall be checked by the town manager and, upon approval, a copy shall be returned to the builder and a copy shall be filed. No walls may be erected until the survey is provided and checked. In the case of a lakefront or low lot, the elevation of the pad shall be certified.
