§ 11.01.01. General functions, powers and duties.

(a)

Pursuant to and in accordance with the Community Planning Act, F.S. § 163.3161 et seq.; the town council in section 24-21, Code of Ordinances, designated itself as the local planning agency for the town and shall perform the functions and duties as prescribed in the Community Planning Act to include holding public hearings and gathering information necessary for the drafting, establishment, amendment and maintenance of the various elements of the comprehensive plan and provisions of this Land Development Code.

(b)

They also shall perform the responsibilities of the land development regulations committee.
