§ 2-70. Additional court costs for law enforcement education.

(a)

Pursuant to F.S. § 938.15, there is hereby assessed an additional court cost of $2.00 against every person convicted for violation of any town ordinance. In addition, $2.00 shall be deducted from every bond estreature or forfeited bail bond related to any ordinance violation. However, no such assessment shall be made against any person convicted for violation of any ordinance relating to the parking of vehicles.

(b)

All such assessments shall be collected by the appropriate court and shall be remitted to the town for expenditures for criminal justice education and degree programs and training courses as provided in F.S. § 938.15.
